BUG Radio is driven by a strong belief in the transformative power of radio as a social and public space for artistic engagement and community building. By embracing radio as a tool for storytelling and cultural exchange, we aim to celebrate the diversity of voices within our community. Through our radio shows and collaborative projects with artists and musicians, we strive to create a space where everyone's voice matters.

Pietro Caramelli / Edmund Lavache - you are there (2024)
Pietro Caramelli is an Italian-born multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Den Haag, active in both songwriting and experimental music environments. The performance you are there offers an heterodox point of view on exploring the technologymediated relationship between audience, performer and performing environment. Conceived from the meeting of a musician and a visual artist and film maker, you are there employs an electric guitar, vintage cameras and an array of found objects.

Sahil Bahl
Sahil Bahl is a songwriter and guitarist from the United States. For this concert, he will be playing the electric lapsteel with effects.

Marianna Maruyama and Guillermo Martín-Viana Marianna Maruyama is an artist and writer working across performance, sculpture, text, and sound. Exploring the areas where history, fiction, restoration, science, and language meet, Maruyama invites unexpected alliances and serendipitous crossovers. Her album with Hessel Veldman, 'Salt was recently released on the Belgian indie label STROOM. Guillermo Martín-Viana is a drummer, developer and visual artist based in The Hague with a profound interest in improvisational games. His most recent multimedia works are based on the development of generative visual systems with various forms of audience interaction. His latest album, 'Songs of Rage and Impotence - 1LL0~ Remixes' was released last year on Oigovisiones Label. Marianna and Guillermo will be improvising with voice, stories, and percussion, performing the role of a personal guide through an unfamiliar landscape.

Tjebbe van der Kooij
Tjebbe is an electronic musician, composer and host at Radio Tonka. His passion for pushing boundaries translates to experiments with sound in which he blends diverse media sources into captivating and innovative compositions.
